Should business owners act as PIC for business flights?

Should a business owner act as PIC for business flights? Sure, the individual may be a competent pilot, but are the risks understood? It is false economy to ignore the value of a professional pilot in such situations. A pro can protect the CEO, the executive's family, passengers, company employees, and stockholders.
