Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be flyboys.... (With apologies to Willie Nelson.) Here, Tom (L) and Joe are seduced at an early age by the adventure of flight. This J3 landed in the field outside our home in Ottsville PA, piloted by some casual acquaintance of a nearby relative. Living just a couple miles from Vansant airport (9N1), there was always something interesting flying overhead.
