29 April 2014: My new favorite ride. The Epic is an amazing state-of-the-art single-engine turboprop. Fast, roomy, and economical, its cruise is about 55 knots faster than a Meridian or a PC-12. If one needs to travel, this is a nice way to go. Interestingly, this is one of about 40 Epic LTs flying under Experimental airworthiness certificates. Building upon that success and experience, the manufacturer is in the process of certifying the airframe. When that is complete, the Epic will be a strong contender in the single engine turboprop market.
