110313 Stevensen Island, Yellowstone National Park

13 Mar 2011: Most client flights over Yellowstone National Park are conducted in bluebird conditions. This pilot and I had flown together many times, so I was familiar with her abilities. Her limited time in the US motivated her to pack in as much flying as she could. This flight over the Park was memorable for several reasons: The broken undercast created challenging flight conditions. We made this flight in the Micco - not our normal touring platform. And I rarely see this much of the Park in the winter. Compare this view of Stevensen Island to that in http://paragonair.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=3155 (Photo by Astrid Heske)
